Happy Sunday American Home Team followers!
We hope you had an amazing weekend. We spent the weekend celebrating a birthday in Broken Bow, Oklahoma and oh-m-gee… it was so gorgeous. We miss Alaska so often and driving there was such a nice reminder of those scenic views we miss so much! We stayed in a cabin, in the middle of the woods, with a back porch that lifted the stress right off my back. It got me thinking about investment properties. We get a lot of people looking for investments but they are not often of the “for pleasure” category.
Thoughts on investing:
- You don’t have to be the one to do all of the work! There are several amazing contractors out there with teams turning investments into profits. All they need is the financial backing for the beginning of the deal.
- Be open minded when looking for an investment. Going into and investment search with very rigid criteria is potentially going to cut you out of a deal that can make you more money that you had anticipated.
- Trust your realtor to know the market. Allow him/her to guide you based on what the buyers of this market are actually spending their money on! (also-don’t be afraid to make your realtor educate you on what the market is saying… it is a their job to make sure you-the buyer/investor- are 100% informed in your decision.)
- Have a go to inspector. They are your FRIEND when it comes to saving you money on things the untrained eye doesn’t see. If you don’t have one, I bet your realtor does!
- HAPPY HUNTING!
